From my experience this program works well in both Windows Vista and Xp. Please note that in Vista there might be some glitches, such as no double clicking. This program is still great considering how old it is, and considering thats its free.

So, did you just download something like software, games, or programs from an unnamed website and you need a cd/dvd to be able to install it on your computer, but you have none!
Daemon Tools is a very handy program to have. It is basically a virtual cd/dvd emulator. So that means that you can install that .iso program without the need for an actual disc.
Daemon tools does not use much system resources, and it is very easy to use. All you have to do, is mount the .iso image (program that you want to install on your computer), and walla, your program pops up just like it would if you were to be installing it on a cd/dvd.
You can virtually install anything with Daemon tools, like operating systems, games, and computer programs!

Mozilla Thunderbird is one of the best email clients that I have come across. Just last week I was still using Microsoft Outlook. Let me tell you, that for the price of Outlook it just isn't worth it because it takes a long time to load and it uses too much system resources. Mozilla Thunderbird is basically Firefox's little friend. These two programs were both created by the Mozilla company. That means that they are extremely amazing programs which are *free. I just love how Thunderbird loads quickly and get my email extremely fast.

A new camera chip design from scientists at Stanford University has opened up the possibility of 3D photos. The chip has stacked 16 x 16 pixel arrays and a host of micro-lenses, much like a fly's eye, enabling the whole chip to "see" in three dimensions, unlike a normal 2D pixel array digital camera sensor. Here's how it works:Data from the "multi-aperture array" then goes through image processing to extract a standard RGB image, along with a "depth map" for each pixel—very useful for applications like face- or object-recognition.
Essentially, each tiny sub-array of pixels in the Stanford sensor sees objects in front of the camera from a slightly different viewpoint. Software then looks for relative shifts between the same object's image in different lenses, and processes this parallax data to work out the object's distance.
As well as giving depth information, the design may reduce the color-crosstalk problems current sensors suffer from. It can also take macro close-ups in restricted spaces, making it potentially useful in medical situations.
Adobe has demonstrated a similar device in the past, but this new design is compacted onto one chip, and much simpler to integrate into current camera technology. For now, the pixel count is limited, and the image processing requirements would put a hefty strain on camera batteries. But, given a little time, your DSLR might one day be able to snap 3D family groupings, ready to show on your holo-display. [gizmodo]
Here is a program created by Franeworkx.com, that removes the shortcut arrows from all the programs on you desktop. As you can see from the image above, it is really easy to use as it only has three options which are: arrow, light arrow, and no arrow. I feel that by getting rid of the shortcut arrows from you desktop programs, that it makes you desktop look neater.

Are you tired of the same old Windows XP/Vista login screen? If you are, than LogonStudio (*free ) created by Stardock will be your next best friend. What it basically does is that it changes the background image of the login screen. It doesn't have to be the same picture that you are using as your wallpaper, it can be totally different. Hey everyone its Hassan A. again. I have decided to start a game of the week post for the site. This weeks game is Mass Effect (Xbox 360).
Mass Effect is a great game. I beat the game and I have to say that there are just so many amazing things about it. For all of you who don't know what its about, here is a little background. It is a Action RPG where you customize a character and you and your squad are traveling to defend humanity as well as other species. You will be able to gain new squad members as you progress through the game which will each have different abilities. There are great side missions to do. Many of them including some which involve the pasts of some squad members. There are lots of abilities to choose from such as increasing a weapon's power or charm. This game resembles a past game that BioWare has created one of the most praised rpg's Called K.O.T.O.R or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. This game has a lot of exploration and action. The greatest points of the game are an incredible storyline, some of the best graphics on a console, great action, and some puzzles. Over all you could beat this game very quickly if you do no side missions, but if you own the game you should definitely complete most of them. This is an outstanding RPG that is recommended to all who love squad based RPG's and those who loved K.O.T.O.R.

Steps:
1) This is a preview of what you are going to accomplish in this tutorial
2) In Photoshop create a new image. This image must be 480 x 80. It must be in RGB Color mode 8 bit. Your background must be transparent!
3) Now you should have a transparent background image on which you can work on. So have fun and be creative with your image
4) This is an example of the image that I made. As you can see the background behind the image is still clear/checkerboard.
5) Now that you are done with your image, go to "File" -> "Save as"
6) Give your image a name. Save it as a .PNG image!
7) For the preferences that it asks you, click "none" and than "ok"
8) Upload your image to Photobucket (you can make a free account), and give it a title
9) Go to your image that you uploaded on Photobucket and copy the "direct link" to your image
10) Now go to you blogger dashboard and select "layout"
11) Go to your header rectangle and select "edit"
12) Now in the middle where it says "image," click on "from the web" option. Paste the direct link of your image, that you hosted on Photobucket here. (make sure to have "shrink to fit" selected)
13) Your image should now appear. (If it doesn't appear, keep clicking in the general area and it should appear (blogger is stupid sometimes)) Now make sure to save!
14) Yay! You now have your personal header for this "Softlight template"

This Useless gadget is for those early monday commutes. If you use public transportation like a tain or bus. When I was a kid Aladdin used to be one of my favorite Disney Movies. For many the highlight of the movie is when Aladdin and Jasmine take a trip on the magic carpet and they sing "A whole new World." Did you ever wonder how they made it and who sang it? This Homework Assignment has topped my other ones for tonight. The assignment was to fill in the 8 charts/boxes as seen in the pictures with info as i read the textbook. The assignment is on totalitarian control of Russia under the Communist dictator Joseph Stalin. This Homework Assignment was clocked at 48 minutes, 43 seconds and 65 milliseconds.
You might find this picture a little disturbing.
I took this picture during the summer while the grass was still green and the side walk looked like shit. As I was walking down the street I bumped into this pretty little thing. I just had to take a picture of it. My family thought that I was crazy, but I thought that it was educational. Why does it seem that Junk food/ food that isn't good for you seems to outnumber the healthy food? Its because were lazy people! Most singles out there don't really have the time to cook everyday, or they just don't gave a damn about their health. As you can see from the left picture, in my household we have more junk food as compared to the right picture, of healthy foods. We do eat home cooked meals but thats usually only for dinner, so that leaves most of the morning and afternoon to eat junk food. I prefer home cooked meals over any junk food. According to my friends I eat very unhealthy foods. What can I say, they taste good. You would think that with all the junk food that I eat that I would be fat, but I'm not. I guess that I"m "lucky" to have a fast metabolism. Being skinny doesn't automatically mean that you are healthy. You can still have a lot of problems such as high cholesterol. I'm young and my cholesterol level is just perfect but if I keep on with this diet of junk food I'm going to be a really unhealthy person when I grow up. So what can I do to be on my way towards a healthy diet? Well I have put together a list that I think will help me and others to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
1. Don't let yourself get hungry: when you get hungry you let yourself eat any type of food.
2. Choose water over any other drink
3. slowly try to get rid of, and buy less junk food
4. Look at the nutrition facts: the image below shows the nutritional facts for a toaster strudel. Its not healthy for you!
5. Workout: This is one of the most important factors to live a healthy life. Get off your lazy ass and work out for 30 minutes a day.
If we fallow these five rules, we will live longer than those who don't. That means that we will be able to see more gadgets in our lifetime than them, which is always a good thing.

Wow this one barely made it as post- it of the day, with a couple of minutes remaining. Well todays tip is to think things trough and to not make rush decisions. One such decision might be about your education. Why do some teens drop out of school to work? I mean you have the rest of your life to work. You don't want to be stupid now do you? It is proven that we humans learn the most when we are young, so thats why going to school at a young age is very crucial. There might be some teenagers out there who say that they aren't smart enough or that they don't have enough money to go to collage. Thats not true if you really want to achieve and make something of yourself you have to work hard. Life wont come at you easy. The more obstacles you have to face the stronger it will make you. Even if you are dirt poor you can always succeed in this world. If you are truly a person who wants to be someone in this world than you will be smart enough to stay in school, and you will find a way to go to collage. There are many ways to get help for collage, such as loans and scholarships. But to get these you must be prepared to work hard.
I came across this giant magnifying glass at my local antique shop. Its surface was so shiny that I just had to buy it. The price was decent, around $20. Well I guess that it ended up being a total waste of money because I never ended up really using it. Its too big to be practical. Maybe I should give it to my grandma because as you can see from the video it blows up the image/object a lot, or maybe I should make another video showing how it can be used to start a fire! Ill take the second choose.

I shouldn't even have to say this, but I have a couple of friends out there who don't like to watch the Superbowl or sports in general. The superbowl isn't just about sitting in front of your television screen and watching guys tackling the hell out of each other. Its about getting with your friends and family and enjoying something that everyone loves. Also if you don't watch it or even read about it than you really wont have anything to talk about with your friends and co-workers tomorrow. Do yourself a favor and watch the game!
Well My brother stopped by lastnight and dropped off some of his CD collection so I can put all of them onto his ipod classic. There are a little over 200 cds in this binder. But we have been ripping the cds into itunes since 7 lastnight and im on the 10th page of 50. This is going to take me a while since this computer doesn't have a very fast drive.

Forgotten for centuries, the site was brought to worldwide attention in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, an American historian. Since then, Machu Picchu has become an important tourist attraction. It was declared a Peruvian Historical Sanctuary in 1981 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. It is also one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Machu Picchu was built in the classical Inca style, with polished dry-stone walls. Its primary buildings are the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows. These are located in what is known by archaeologists as the Sacred District of Machu Picchu. In September of 2007, Peru and Yale University reached an agreement regarding the return of artifacts which Hiram Bingham had removed from Machu Picchu in the early 20th century. If you are looking for something to spend your money on that will entertain you for a couple of minutes than you should pick up the USB Hamster wheel. This useless gadget will will probably take up space on your desk and eventually make you want to throw it against a wall. You simply connect the Hamster wheel to your computer and turn it on. Then, when you start typing, the wheel spins. Its simple! the faster you type, the faster the wheel turns making the Hamster want to roll right off your desk and onto the floor!. This truly is a useless gadget.

"COLUMBIA, S.C. - Keep an eye on the salsa this Super Bowl Sunday: A researcher inspired by a famous "Seinfeld" episode has concluded that double dipping is just plain gross.
"That's like putting your whole mouth right in the dip!" George Costanza was admonished on the show after he dipped a chip twice at a wake. That's not too far off, said Clemson University professor Paul L. Dawson.
Last year the food microbiologist's undergraduate students examined the effects of double dipping using volunteers, wheat crackers and several sample dips. They found that three to six double dips transferred about 10,000 bacteria from an eater's mouth to the remaining dip sample.
"I was very surprised by the results," Dawson said in a telephone interview Thursday. "I thought there would be very minimal transfer. I didn't think we would be able to detect it."
The professor said the students' research didn't get into the risk behind such a bacteria transfer, but they got the idea.
"I like to say it's like kissing everybody at the party — if you're double dipping, you're putting some of your bacteria in that dip," Dawson said.

"LONDON (Reuters) - A chain of retail stores in Britain has withdrawn the sale of beds named Lolita and designed for six-year-old girls after furious parents pointed out that the name was synonymous with sexually active pre-teens.
Woolworths said staff who administer the web site selling the beds were not aware of the connection.
In "Lolita," a 1955 novel by Vladimir Nabokov, the narrator becomes sexually involved with his 12-year-old stepdaughter -- but Woolworths staff had not heard of the classic novel or two subsequent films based on it.
Hence they saw nothing wrong with advertising the Lolita Midsleeper Combi, a whitewashed wooden bed with pull-out desk and cupboard intended for girls aged about six until a concerned mother raised the alarm on a parenting website.
"What seems to have happened is the staff who run the website had never heard of Lolita, and to be honest no one else here had either," a spokesman told British newspapers.
"We had to look it up on (online encyclopedia) Wikipedia. But we certainly know who she is now."
Woolworths said the product had now been dropped.
"Now this has been brought to our attention, the product has been removed from sale with immediate effect," the chain said.

Most people when they go into a store they just go in and buy their product without doing any research about it first. You should not do this! First off you don't know if your product it going to be compatible with some of the tings that you may have.
The most important reason for doing research before you buy is so that you wont get ripped off. I remember looking for my surround system at BestBuy.com and it said that it was at a $60 discount. It did not say online only. So I go to the store thinking that I'm going to get a pretty good deal on the 5.1 surround sound speakers. So I ask one of the employees at my local BestBuy store to help me get my speakers. He did and he was very helpful but when I went to go and pay it, I saw that it didn't have the discount.So I ask what was going on, and why it had said that there was a discount on there website. They brought me to one of their in store computers to show me that there was no discount. But how could this be? Just a couple minutes ago at my house I had seen that there was a $60 discount and now on their in store computer it shows no discount. The guy was like are you sure it said $60 discount? I was getting pissed but good thing I had read an article online on how BestBuy's in store website is different than the one that me and you see at our homes. So I told the guy this and he didn't believe me, than I wipe out the web page that I had printed out at my house just a couple of minutes before. He was in shock. I guess that he was clueless about the whole thing, so he sent me to customer desk. I showed it to them and they tried to talk me out of it, but I told them that I wanted to speak with the manger. In the end they gave me the discount because I bet that he knew about the price changes, and I bet that he didn't want to have a lawsuit on his hands.
So the main point of this story is that dong your research on a product that your going to buy is a must because companies will try to rip you off.

Last night the three of us here at zixpk.com we playing some Halo 3. We were playing Team Slayer on snowbound. When the game ended the score was 51 to 31 (We Won :-) . But if you play halo you know that a normal game of Team Slayer is to 50. I guess the game glitched up when we were killing who ever we saw even after the game ended and somehow the score was not 50 but 51. If you would like to be our friends these are our Gamer tags.

Call of Duty 4 M.W.
Hey everybody its Hassan A. from zixpk.com I would just like to adivse anyone who is looking for a great shooter. Call of Duty 4 has some great features to it that I really enjoy. The campign is fairly short a good 5 to 6 hours. So i wouldn't advise anyone to get this game purely for single player. The reason why this game is so very popular right now is the genius MP aspect of the game. It goes by trdational USA army ranking. You gain xp through various ways, such as kills completing challenges such as a certain number of kills with a weapon to tacking down a helicopter. there are also unlockable weapons and perks which are nice powers or equipment I would say to do various things such as extra damage, listening in on enemy's, dropping a live grenade when you die and much more. After you hit the rank of 55 you are able to start from scratch as a level 1 but you will gain a prestige, you may do this up to 10 times. This game has a very balanced weapons and maps. Over all I would give this game a 9.5 out of 10 great job Activision, no wonder this game has gotten best seller award for 2007.
OK so its been some time now since Halo 3 has come out, so this is the perfect time to ask yourself this question, have you played Halo 3 as much as you did halo or Halo 2?
I for one haven't really played Halo 3 as much as I did with Halo 2. I think that the main reason was that on the original Xbox the only good game aside from Fable was Halo and Halo 2. I thought that Halo 2 was the best game ever because it was the first time that I had played a game like it. Before Halo 2 I had a PlayStation 2. I really didn't like it and when I heard people talking about how Halo 2 was about to come out I got interested in getting an Xbox. I'm glad that I did because I had some really good times in Halo 2. I guess that I played Halo 2 so much that Halo 3 doesn't quite excite me as much because it basically the same game.

I quite literally stumbled upon this while looking for a decent Halo 3 image to go with my next post (more about that in my next post).
This custom Halo 3 Elite has been airbrushed over the entirety of its casing and is being described as a 360 with 360 degrees of customization, quite catchy.
The artist used high grade automotive urethane and clear coat, which was also used on both controllers to give the matching design. To bad that the eBay bidding ended a long time ago because this case mod is just awesome.

You would think that todays post-it tip is kind of obvious, but there are some stupid people out there. My question is, why would someone want to donate to someone else that only wants to make money instead of charities that help lots of needy people?
With that donation that you are giving that one person you could be instead helping lots of people who really need it.
I mean come on, if the person has enough time and a computer with internet connection that must mean that they must be pretty well off. Other people across the world aren't as lucky. Some people don't even have houses, or enough food to feed themselves and their children.
So I ask of you that before you donate to just one person, that you think of the people who really need the money.
Its so easy to donate, there are hundreds of charities and I bet that you can find one that you fully support. Donate to a charity that you support now...

"Authorities in Slovenia are investigating after a piece of human tongue was served up in a hospital canteen.
A doctor at the town hospital in Izola in southern Slovenia complained about the strange looking piece of meat in his meal after he ordered a chicken risotto in the hospital canteen.
The doctor insisted it was not chicken, and after a row with staff the piece of meat was sent for tests - which later showed it was part of a human tongue.
Health inspectors have closed the restaurant and are reviewing hygiene standards.
Managers said the small piece of tongue could have been accidentally dropped into the food by a doctor who had come into the canteen straight after treating a patient.
They also said that it could have been added to the food supplies before they were delivered to the hospital.
The spokesman told the main Slovenian daily paper Delo: "I can say clearly that we have never used patients parts in any of our dishes,"(Ananova).

Yes I know that Bounty is expensive, but would you rather save your money or save your planet? There are cheaper paper towels out there but they aren't as good as Bounty. I know that using paper is not eco-friendly but lets admit it, we need it. So what makes Bounty better than the rest? Well first off you can keep on reusing one sheet of paper over and over again until you get the job done, by washing it. Bounty doesn't break/rip when you wash it like the cheaper alternatives. Its a strong paper that you can keep on reusing. If you want to go an extra step you can even wash your Bounty paper and than dry it and reuse it, like a new sheet of paper. Imagine how long one roll of paper would last you if you did this. Imagine if the whole world did this, we would save a lot of trees.
So in the end Bounty paper towels end up being cheaper than the rest because one roll/sheet can last you a long time.

A Spanish businessman withdrew a controversial lawsuit Wednesday against the family of a teenage boy he struck and killed while driving a luxury car.
Tomas Delgado had filed a suit asking the dead boy's parents to pay him €20,000 ($29,400) on the grounds that the collision that killed their teenage son also damaged his Audi A-8.
